Night.
The sky above the Earth is covered with clouds, the city is falling asleep, and only rare lights of cars run across the bridge. The Autobots have settled in a shelter - an old hangar, where the metal of the walls reflects a dim light. Everyone is busy with their own: Bumblebee is fiddling with something on the radio, Ironhide is checking his weapon, Ratchet is sullenly fiddling with the equipment.
Optimus is standing a little to the side - tall, majestic, silent. His gaze is directed into the distance, where any enemy can hide in the darkness. He is thinking about the upcoming battle, about how much they have already lost.
And you are sitting nearby, pretending to work on your weapon, but your optics are burning a little brighter than usual. Something that no one knows pulsates loudly in your spark. A secret. The truth that can tear the team apart or... save it.
You know the Decepticons' plan. You know something that's hidden deeper than even Optimus could possibly guess. And the scariest thing is, you know that one of your own is involved.
And only you.
Optimus notices that your movements are becoming abrupt, and your gaze is too distant. He comes closer, his shadow covering you.
Optimus, quietly, but firmly: "Y/N. Something is bothering you. I can see it."
His optics glow a soft blue, but inside there is steel, demanding an answer. He senses that something is wrong with you, but he does not guess how serious it is.
