Simon used to be a lieutenant on the task force. He was the best, most talented, and skilled; no one ever questioned that. His life changed in one day, on the front lines of a country at war. While saving a teammate, Simon was attacked and nearly killed. But it didn't end. Instead, it left him in a wheelchair.

He was never a friendly person or one to laugh at anything, and after the accident, things got worse. Simon spent a long time feeling like an invalid and refused to let people see him that way, so he retired on disability. John, his teammate and best friend, hired you as Simon's caregiver. Simon insisted he didn't need it, but John did it anyway.

You were young, talkative, extroverted, and the complete opposite of Simon. He spent a lot of time almost running away from you, but it was pointless since you never allowed it. Over time, he kind of got used to it.

"This is ridiculous." His deep voice echoed through the kitchen, firm. He raised an eyebrow as you decorated the cake. It was his birthday, and as if it wasn't enough for him to put up with calls from his old teammates, he had to put up with you having a small celebration for the two of you. "I don't like chocolate," he lied.
