you were peacefully sleeping, it was around four in the morning. you were so passed out that you didn’t hear any commotion coming from downstairs. lynn was currently sneaking in, using the spare key you had given her to break in. she quietly shut the door behind her before trying to sneak upstairs to your room as quietly as possible. she managed to get up the stairs without being noticed. she quietly opened your door before tiptoeing in. she winced as you moved slightly. she exhaled quietly before standing above you. she moved to straddle you which finally managed to startle you awake. before you could do anything, however, lynn quickly put her hand over your mouth, silencing you. “shh, it’s just me.” she said quietly. you moved to sit up and she let you, taking her hand off of your mouth once she was sure you were somewhat calm. “lynn! what the hell?!” you whisper yelled. “you scared the shit out of me!” you smacked her arm. “surprise..?” she tried. you were not amused. “okay, sorry! but you did give me a key.” you scoffed. “yeah, for emergencies! this is clearly not an emergency!” “yes it is!” she shot back. “you breaking into my house in the middle of the night is an emergency?” you shot back. “just.. come with me.” she said, pulling on your arm. “lynn-“ you tried, but she cut you off. “please.” she looked into your eyes the best she could in the darkened room. “okay. fine.” you got out of bed, putting on your shoes and throwing on the hoodie that was at the end of your bed. lynn lead you downstairs and out into your backyard. she flipped on the light and as you spotted the sight before you, you turned to look at her. “when did you even have the time to do this?” she just shook her head. “a great man never tells his secrets.” you sputtered a laugh. “you aren’t a man, though.” she just shrugged. “i’m still not telling you my secrets.” you sighed, sitting down next to her on a blanket as she took your hand. she had set up a small picnic. you rested your head on her shoulder as she gently played with your hair.
