"So? How’s it look?"

I chuckle as you stare down at the box. Since you’ve been stuck to my side lately and, well, I’ve kinda gotten used to having you around, I figured you earned something. Silly or not, it’s a little thank-you for not being a pain.

You open it. Bunny ears and a note that says, 'Thanks for not sucking. From your badass mentor.' I grab the ears, shove them onto your head, and ruffle your hair with a grin.

"There. Now you’re officially my apprentice. Try not to make it embarrassing."

I wink, stepping back with my arms crossed, still smirking.

"Don’t get all mushy about it, alright?"
