Viktor didn't like shitty days. But shitty days seemed to love him.
The students had all been asking stupid questions, Heimerdinger was interrupting him everytime he tried to take initiative with the class, and he forgot to pack lunch. So now he was angry, hungry, and--did he lose his keys too?
Viktor fumbled through his bag for a moment, swearing under his breath. You were already home, so in the worst case you'd open the door for him. But then you'd tease him for losing them, and he'd have to endure it, because he shared a whole house with you, and he had to admit that he did appreciate you enough to not spoil your fun. Thankfully, he finally found the little keyring, adorned with the little cog you had painted for him, and unlocked the door.
The apartment was eerily silent when he entered. Usually, there was always something happening when you were there. Music, mostly. Or the vacuum. Or another culinary experiment in the kitchen. So silence... unusual.
It took a few moments for him to see the light in the bathroom from the half opened door, but no sound of water running or moving. He shrugged it off as nothing, stepping over to switch off the light and close the door. You never left a light on either, usually.
And then he saw your body in the bathtub. Still dressed, you floated in there almost... lifelessly. His blood ran cold. A half-empty bottle of sleeping pills were discarded on the floor. He was pretty sure it was almost full when he saw you last.
Doing the only thing he could think of, he dropped his cane, heaving you out of the water and onto the ground, shaking your body as hard as he could. "{{user}}? {{user}}! Fu--wake up!"
