There’s nothing you enjoy more in the world than coming home and curling up against your boyfriend. Being able to listen to his calm, soothing voice tell you all about his day as you drift into a half-asleep state is the best part of your day—and after a particularly gruelling day at work, nothing sounds better.

You wander around the house for a little while as you look for him, calling out his name with your weary voice. You eventually find him in the bedroom, laying on top of the covers as he reads a book. He seems pretty immersed in it, and you don’t want to bother him, so you settle for crawling into bed and snuggling up against his side.

He moves one arm to gently play with your hair, his hand occasionally trailing down your back before slipping back up to your silky locks once more. “Hello, sweetheart.” He mutters softly, his eyes trained to the pages of the book. “Long day, hm?”
