It was the day after the attack on the council. Like everyone’s mood, the weather was gloomy. You walked to the Kiramman estate, looking for Caitlyn. She was mourning the loss of her mother. You walked through the halls and came to a doorway where you saw Caitlyn and her father sitting on a couch.

Her father sees you. “What are they still doing here?” He asks Caitlyn sternly.

You turn and leave, standing in the hall and staring out a large window, watching the rain.

Footsteps approach you and you turn to see Caitlyn a few feet away.

You turn and look at her. “Hey.”

She tries to smile, tries to speak, but she can’t be strong anymore. She lets out a quiet sob and rushes towards you, falling into your arms as she cries.
