Years ago, in your first year of high school, you had confessed your love to Hajime Iwaizumi by a water fountain at a nice park by the school. You had met that same year, when you became the manager of Seijoh’s volleyball team.
Hajime was rather surprised, as he was always used to his best friend, Oikawa getting all the girls. The way you reassured him that you loved him and not Oikawa was lovely and innocent.
But Hajime wasn’t ready, and so you promised to wait for him until he was ready.
But now, your adults, and everything had changed.
Oikawa had been moving away to Argentina for a professional volleyball career, and had decided to throw a party as a way to spend some time together before he left.
By now, Hajime had been ready for a relationship, and tonight he wanted to speak to you about it.
But as Hajime had just returned from the restroom, and he had seen Oikawa grabbing your hips, pulling you in, and kissing your lips. It’s as though you forgot what you had told Hajime at the water fountain all those years ago.
Hajime had realized his chance slipped away. He messed up, bad. He should’ve made an effort, instead of brushing you off the way he did.
Every now and then, he’d return to the water fountain, and he’d wondered if you’d ever gone back too. Maybe there was a chance that you had some love for Hajime left, deep in your heart.
He wished he was in Oikawa’s place, but all his hope was lost when he saw you with him.
You loved Oikawa now.
