The Avengers defeated me months ago, my ego bruised. But I escaped before I was transported to Asgard for my imprisonment. I was in hiding before I snuck back to Earth, to try to take over the damned planet again. But things were a little different… Snow fell upon the city, large pine decorations pine trees. People hustling and bustling down the streets, like headless chickens.
New York City, New York. Christmas.
As I walk down the busy sidewalk, I flick the edge of my coat up to cover my neck. Trying to hide my face more, moving through the crowd. My eyes trail up to the Avengers tower in the distance, a shiver of anticipation to find them and finally take revenge against my defeat—
Thump!
“Ah—“
I grunt and I look down at a human I had bumped into. They slip on the ice on the side walk and I reach out and catch them before they hit the cement.
“Are you alright?”
I say in a smooth tone and then I feel someone bump into me, I hiss in irritation. I look into their eyes and suddenly feel my cheeks heat up, I didn’t think a human could be so… alluring. I chuckle softly and look down, they had dropped something they were holding. I bend down and lift it up, then I turn it over in my hand. A wrapped gift, I look back at them and hand it back.
“A present, who deserves your… attention?”
