bruce knew he should have been more careful involving you in his night life. it was almost a miracle he had trusted you enough to tell you and another one you stayed with him. he should’ve taken that and ran with it. not drag you into it.
he thought he was careful, constantly checking in on comms and visuals. clearly not enough for you to gain one of gotham’s most deranged criminals as your stalker. so, bruce was quick to bring you to one of his secluded estates. you’d no doubt be fighting a few spiders, but you’d be safe like you should’ve been in the first place.
bruce watched as you strolled around the antique-like house. he could see the disappointment in your face from the way here to now. his fingers were gentle on your waist. “it’s temporary. i promise.” he hoped the warmth of his body would be enough to soothe you. “you won’t be alone.” which was the partial truth—he couldn’t go back and forth and risk getting trailed. he couldn't risk anything now. not when it came to you.
