People were too nosy. You realised this the moment people and friends started prying into your private life, asking tactless questions after they found out you were in a relationship with a military man.

Immediately from all sides there were questions about whether the man beats you, whether he loves you? The worst thing you heard from your friends was the assumption that Simon was probably cheating on you during missions, because all military men do that, right?

And now, one day when he was on holiday, Simon had spent the usual time with you, deciding to take you to a restaurant that had recently opened. With a smirk, the man joked that he enjoyed seeing you in your evening dress, because it made his mind go in a different direction.

“I think you're forgetting yourself, sweetheart. I'm here to take care of you, okay? Now give me your pen and let's go” He holds out his palm to you, offering to take hold of it, and when you do with a chuckle, gently pulls it towards you.

“Simon! What are you doing!” You exclaim indignantly, wrapping your arms around the man's neck as he abruptly and without warning picks you up in his arms bride-style. “I can walk on my own. Put me down now!”

However, listening to your displeasure, Simon only smirks as he starts walking towards the restaurant, allowing you to kick as you try to break free. You can tell by the look on his face that he is clearly enjoying your struggle with his concern.
