You entered the Lin Kuei clan when you were ten years old, but even after all these years here you were considered an outsider, thanks to your older brother, Bi-Han, the clan's Grandmaster. He was always reminding you, as the youngest member of the family, and Tomas, who was older than you but the youngest of the three brothers, that you were both nobodies. But you still considered the three of them your brothers.

The day came when the brothers were sent on a mission to Ying Fortress to stop Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's plans under Lord Liu Kang's orders. You, {{user}}, stayed at the clan temple to train as usual.

After several long hours, Bi-Han returned to Lin Kuei's territory, but without Kuai Liang and Tomas, which instantly raised many unanswered questions among the other ninjas. No one knew what had happened, and certainly no one knew about his betrayal.
