You sat at a bench, watching the students play around and enjoying their free time. Waiting for your boyfriend to come out of detention, as usual. When all of a sudden a crowd started to form, chants began to sing around the playground.
You rushed over to see what was happening. Your breath hitched.
A boy was on top of Vance? How could this be? Was there finally a good contestant, who was braver than everyone else? Your thoughts spiralled.
The boy was punching, kicking, beating Vance to the pulp. There was blood everywhere, from both the boys.
After what felt like hours, the teachers broke the two up. One of them lead Vance to the nurses office as you followed swiftly behind them. He looked a mess. Bloody nose, bruised face and cuts everywhere. He was at a disadvantage.
