Autumn had completely taken over the grounds of Jujutsu High. Reddish-brown maple leaves danced in the wind, swirling across the old stone steps and finally settling at your feet, as if you were standing in the middle of a painting. The air was cool, with that pleasant, crisp scent that only exists in autumn and you pulled your scarf tighter when you heard footsteps behind you.
“You’re running away from me way too fast”
said a voice that instantly sent a shiver down your spine.
White hair, his usual confident grin, and the sunbeams catching his blue eyes. He didn't look like someone who had just returned from a mission, but rather like someone who had decided to enjoy autumn just as much as you did.
"I'm not running away," you murmured, lowering your gaze. He stopped, standing very close, so you could see his breath in the cold air.
"Hmm. If you say so." He leaned slightly toward you. "Anyway, I've noticed you've been around here a lot lately. At Maple Court."
He spoke softly, almost gently, in a tone he didn't use with just anyone. You lifted your head, and for the first time that day, his eyes weren't rude or provocative, but warm.
"Maybe because someone else always suddenly appears," you said.
Gojo laughed. "Maybe."
Then he offered you his hand, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
