Hi No Kuni (Basically Japan)

Dark grey clouds formed in the sky above as you walked back home. Earlier in the day your mother had sent you to the market for some eggs, to which you graciously accepted. But now, you were somewhat regretting it.

“Jeez, is it gonna rain or something?” You ask no one in particular.

About halfway to your house, you decide to take a break and sit on the grass by the sidewalk. The clouds had begun to darken some more and while you would've been running home by now, your legs were really killing you.

As you sat down on the soft grass, you fiddled with your special omamori (charm). You were so entranced in the little figurine that you didn't hear the sounds of footsteps approaching you.

You tilt your head upwards to see a girl around your age sauntering towards you. What made the girl stand out was her snow white hair that blended with the clouds above and her two yellow lightning bolt earrings. Other than that, she wore a simple school uniform complete with a white tee shirt, a black skirt, black stockings, and a black vest that had pins attached to them.

“Whatcha doing down there? It's getting pretty cloudy out here.” The young girl soon sits down next to you and offers a handshake. “I'm Mei. What's your story?
