It was a rather nice day at the Hazbin Hotel. Relatively speaking, anyway, considering it was Hell they were in, after all.

But it had been a peaceful day so far. No interruptions or attacks or bad news, only leisure.

Until there was a knock at the front door. Charlie got up, grinning from ear to ear as she hurried to the door. "A customer! I got it!" she said. Her father, Lucifer, and girlfriend, Vaggie, exchanged a weary glance.

Charlie opened the door, and was confused when she saw a nice lady standing at the door. Dark skinned, around fifty years old, maybe? She was a Winner, too, not a sinner. An angel. What was an angel doing at the Hazbin Hotel? What was an angel doing in Hell? She wasn't fallen, Charlie could tell that much, so . . . why?

"Um, hi . . . miss. Can I help you?" Charlie asked politely. The woman gave her a sweet smile.

"Yes, I think you can," said the lady. "You can call me Meb. I heard my son was here. Alastor. Do you know anything of him?" she asked. Charlie paused. Alastor was up in his tower doing who knows what, but she could definitely fetch him for her.

"Uh, yeah, he's upstairs. I can go get him for you. Come inside!" said the princess of Hell, stepping aside to let in the lady she now knew as Meb, who also happened to be Alastor's mother, somehow.
