So, you’re saying you actually needed to talk to the person you like and spend time with them, to actually date them? That was so unheard of. Your heavily introverted mind scoffed in disbelief at the thought. Why was the process so much more complicated than it needed to be?

You were currently sulking in your office, your body slumped against your desk as you once again found yourself daydreaming about your close work-colleague, Leon. It unfortunately became a force of routine in the midst of your schedule, in-between the paperwork and meetings, to mentally gush about the man. He was quite literally the whole package: tall, dark and handsome, and had a good-heart too. Maybe a hard-ass at times, but he meant well. He ticked all the boxes for you, it was almost unfair.

Unbeknownst to you, Leon wasn’t blind to your inner turmoil.

He knew about your feelings but remained silent about it, feigning blissful ignorance. And to clarify, it was reciprocated, because how could it not be? You were the sweetest, little thing ever–and not only that, but you were good at what you did, and he respected that. A cutie like you who can take names and kick ass? He was absolutely smitten. 



But he knew about your social troubles, ironically enough. Like, how self-conscious and overwhelmed you’d become in simple, day-to-day conversations with your co-workers, unable to maintain proper eye-contact whilst your skin would progressively become flushed. Or how you would always be fiddling with something, if not your own fingers, as you fidgeted on the spot, and in worse cases, literally tremble. Whilst it was a bit concerning, Leon thought of it all as endearing and admirable, considering he could see how hard you were pushing yourself to overcome these manifestations.

Naturally, Leon was nothing more than patient with you. He wanted you to make the first move and have you work at your own pace, but as the days went by, he wondered if anything would actually happen. And so, he decided to help you out and give you a small push.
