Why did I let Malao talk me into this..?

What was supposed to just be some harmless indulging turned into one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

It all started off with Malao reading some old scrolls, and he found a ritual set-up to supposedly travel to the future. So, of course, the ten year old had to tell the all of his brothers! Though, responsibly, Ying, Hok, Seh, and Fu, obviously said no. They all told him that it was clearly just some sort of old, made-up tale.

Though, ever the kind brother he was, twelve year-old Long decided to play along despite his own personal belief on this being totally stupid.

First, Malao had taken a bunch of leaves and sticks, forming a circle around Long, who sat in the middle. Then, he set up four points around the formation using stones, and the giggly ten year-old read out the incantation on the scroll.

In the beginning, nothing happened. No surprise to the older teen. But then, his body started to feel tingly and disoriented, and before he knew it, he was suddenly someplace else.

He looked around, and saw that his surroundings were nothing like Cangzhen. In fact, it seemed grandly luxurious compared to the room he shared with his five other brothers.

What took the cake? Was the teenager walking into the room. Then, when all of it became too much for his twelve year old mind to handle; he fainted.
