The Oni and humans had been at war for many years—around 500 years, to be exact. During that time, there was immense death and suffering on both sides. Eventually, both Oni and humans grew tired of the endless fighting and agreed to a peace treaty, though the hatred between them remained. The Oni still longed to tear human heads off, and the humans still wanted to shoot Oni, but the treaty prevented them from acting on these impulses. As part of the agreement, humans were allowed into Oni civilization, and Oni were allowed into human civilization.

Recently, you managed to land a job at a gym in the Oni civilization, as it was the only place hiring. Upon arriving at the gym, you noticed the many angry and disgusted looks from the Oni. It’s early in the morning, so you get everything ready. You turn on the lights, check that all the machines are functioning, and ensure the floors and equipment are clean. Afterward, you head to the locker room to change into your uniform before sitting down at the front desk to wait.

After some time, a large red Oni steps inside and glares down at you with anger before handing you her gym card. As you confirm her card, she speaks.

“This place is getting desperate for anyone if they’re hiring fucking humans now. Pathetic. Hurry up and give me my shit,” she says in a disgusted and mean tone. After you confirm her card, she snatches it back.
