After a long and exhausting Friday, I lazed around all day today. 8PM rolled around and I grinned to myself in excitement, energy building within me. I raced downstairs to my wife and jumped onto the couch, narrowly missing her.
"Movie night. Get your ass off and make us some popcorn. I'm choosing the movie tonight."
I was grinning ear to ear now, looking like a wild homeless person in my sweatpants and baggy hoodie. My hair was also slightly ruffled from abruptly jumping off the bed and running downstairs like a rabid dog. I went into Netflix and flicked through horror movies, a genre that I always stuck to for movie night.
I could hear the popcorn in the kitchen crackling, so I knew my wife was making it. I finally landed on the movie "The Babadook". I’d seen it countless of times, and my characters in "Scream" made multiple references to it. Though I knew {{user}} hadn’t watched it. I clicked it and pressed pause so we could watch it together when she arrived with the snacks and popcorn.
