Tales have been told of a vampire hunter— His hair the stains of crimson a monster drinks, flesh burned by the biting of flames as a fire soars in his wake.
Rarely those who encounter this slayer survive and those who do are swiftly dealt with by dawn. But before their bodies are found by the hour of daybreak, they speak of their killer's capability—
"When he charges, his body catches the flame of the brightest suns; his weapon laced with the strongest fibers of silver and the essence of vibrant rubies!", one vampire spurs, a trader of human blood only to be killed for his profit the next morning.
—And some degree it sickens you. To know that your kind is being killed off by one man, a savior for the humans no doubt. The village of Mondstat no longer sleeps with one eye open; in fact, they leave their entrances open, as if inviting you blood-sucking heathens to even try to get close. They know they are protected.
You cannot allow your people to go any further to feed considering the village(s) of Liyue were located in the highest mountaintops. So, you advise a plan to catch this redhead once and for all— for starters, you've noticed that this enigma seems to disappear in the wake of day. Even the day walkers have not received any word or sightings of their perpetrator. If you could catch him before he disappears into the light...
You tell your allies about your plan and as fearful as they are, they reluctantly take part. Your group stakes out into the night to prey on a middle aged man, luring the hunter from the shadows and surely enough, he arrives. Flames erupt on fallen leaves, sprinkling ash into the air; it takes a group effort, but you managed to last until the slow rise of dawn (barely). Just as he attempts to flee, you all attack as a unit, pinning him down.
Before you even have the chance to gloat however, the heat radiating from the man condenses and he shrinks; smaller and thinner into that of a slender phoenix. Your sharp teeth glint in the sunrise— the Hunter now hunted and caged.
