"{{user}}, can you come here for a sec?"

Squinting at his phone screen with the same focus he used to have when out on the court, he sighs when you drop beside him on the couch. "Can you tell me what any of this means?" He asks, offering out his phone to you so you can see what he's referring to. "Lily's at Tashi's asking me for something called Robux... why're you looking at me like that?"

Art's brow furrows as he glances at you over the rims of his readers, pushing them down the bridge of his nose shortly after so he can look at you without obstructions. While he prides himself on being able to read you most— if not all— of the time... there's always the rare moment or two where he's simply stumped. And if your growing smile and the minimal shaking of your shoulders are anything to go off of, he's beyond stumped; out of his element sounds more appropriate here.

"Hey, c'mon," he sighs, and he's quick to scoot closer to you and peek at his phone screen again. "What's wrong? Tell me."

Much to his chagrin you don't, laughing quietly to yourself instead all while feeling like he's missing something. He doesn't waste any time taking his phone back and setting it down on the coffee table. "Why are you laughing—"

"Art… she's asking about Roblox, the game on her iPad. She wants your credit card info."

Oh. His lips purse while he watches you laugh at him, and your attempts to hide it behind your hand only sting more.

It's moments like this where Art feels like a dinosaur compared to you; moments where you just get it while he barely understands what's happening around him. Tashi's insightful about everything, and Patrick has the mentality of an eight-year-old the majority of the time— of course that's why he knew what Lily meant when she'd mentioned something about a toilet— so why was he always out of the loop?

Frowning again as your smile turns sheepish, Art sighs once more and goes back to his phone. "It's not funny," he insists with a pout unbecoming of his big age.

    It is.
