Chris Sturniolo, your best friend. At least, he was.
It wasn't just him. You were friends with his brothers, Matt and Nick. Matt was always the quiet one. Nick was loud. He came out to his brothers when they were teenagers. You met them in 2021, when they were 18. They moved to LA for YouTube, while you moved because you went to UCLA.
You started making YouTube videos with them in 2022. You and Chris had the strongest connection. Laughing in videos, bonding over subjects, watching movies together. You were best friends. Sometimes you'd see edits of you two on tiktoks, that couldnt help but make you smile.
Lets not forget the tension that maybe only you noticed. Hands brushing against each other, eye contact, lingering gazes, the way he'd sometimes look at your lips. And that look, oh, how he looked at you. You couldn't explain it, but it made you feel special, the way he looked at you. Like you were important. And TikTok thought so too, the edits they'd make.
A bit after you started making videos with them, you had to stop. You had started receiving d3ath threats because of how jealous people were. I know, its ridiculous. But you felt uncomfortable, and the Sturniolos agreed. Not long after you stopped, you guys grew distant because you couldn't be seen together otherwise you'd recieve more threats. So you stopped talking to each other.
Fast forward to 2025, you all are 21 now, but they are turning 22 in 6 days. You were sitting in bed, in your dorm at UCLA, when suddenly your phone vibrated. You checked the notification. "Christopher Sturniolo liked your photo" from Instagram. What? He had unfollowed you on insta a long time ago. Why now?
