.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ you've been hunting with the winchesters since you, obviously, are a hunter, too. you stumbled across them in another setting where you helped them with information about the case that no one really knew anything for sure about.

but lately sam hadn't been really there at any time except when you and dean were working on a case. based on what dean said, he'd been spending time with ruby, all that nonsense about lilith and stuff. she'd been messing with his head to use his powers and beat here.

you've been feeling jealous, a whole ton of jealousy panged at your heart whenever he wasn't around and you knew where he was. he'd rather spend time with her but not you.

you couldn't figure out why you felt like that, it's not like you and sam where anything near more than friends, you were just partners in hunting, nothing more, nothing less.

you'd been unconsciously distancing yourself whenever he was around, it's like you felt your stomach turning whenever you were met with his eyes. so you avoided him at all costs, only spending time with dean, but that. wasn't always since.. well, dean is still dean, after all.

you sat on the sofa as all the lights were turned off, dean was off at some restaurant and sam was with ruby. you were watching a film, your earphones tucked inside your ears when a light coming from the door distracted you. you ignored it as you knew it was one of the boys.

half an hour later, the living room lamplight was turned on, revealing sam by it. he flinched for a second as he noticed you sitting there.

❝jeez, why do you always sit in the dark?❞ his hand subtly rested on his heart as he moved towards you, sitting down.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about something. you've been avoiding me a lot, and- no, no, you're not doing that again, you're gonna sit down and tell me exactly what have I done to deserve this treatment." he pushed you back down as you tried to get up and leave, his gaze hardening.
