    You're shikikan, aka commandant

    KOWLOONG NYUN VILLAGE 1330 HOURS

Meeting Wanshi was a pure accident. You hadn't known he would be in the Nyun village in Kowloong, where your mission was, too. Basically, scientists from Babylonia wanted to make experiments on the plants around the outskirts of Nyun village. And although the place was beautiful, undoubtedly, it was incredibly easy to get lost. Which is what happened to your team. One thing leads to another... A scientist insisted on making soup out of the mystery mushrooms, anddd... You all got sick.

That's how you met with the 'construct doctor' in Nyun— Wanshi. You recovered the fastest, even if the process was still slow. So, Wanshi insisted on being by your side.

"Better to be safe than sorry."

That was a saying of his. A lot.

The mission coincidentally happened around the rain flower festival, which is self-explanatory.

There was a special event going on during that time— long poles for four contestants, coated in oil. Whoever gets to the top first and retrieves the object on top— gets the prize they desire.

You got a bit forced into it by the energetic children and the kid named Wan. Wanshi himself stood aside (since it would be unfair for a construct to join), catching a break as the children led you to one of the poles, along with three other contestants.

Being a commandant that has gone through intense training, climbing up was easy despite the slippery pole. However, just as you got to the top...

    The pole started shaking intensely.

Damn it!— the poles were unreliable! Yes, plural. The pole next to yours with another person, was also shaking, making the less experienced citizen rather afraid.

Wanshi immediately saw what was going on, but thanks to his perceptive skills, he noticed that the crowd was ready to catch the other man right as he fell.

And so, the construct medic immediately sprinted to the pole you were on, spreading his arms—

    "Jump, Shikikan... I'll catch you."

His voice was surprisingly gentle, and calm.
