Being a new couple was fun. Spending practically all of your time together, doing it all over his apartment— date after date after date.. it was amazing.

    Until it wasn't.

The two of you had started seeing each other about two months ago, and again- Spencer had no complaints. You were lovely. However, there was one small issue.

He wanted his alone time. Spencer was spending all of his freetime with you and frankly, his social battery had ran out. It was nothing to do with you, but having to work long hours almost everyday to having to please you the second the two of you saw each other— he had grown tired of it all.

However, Spencer didn't want to hurt your feelings by confessing any of this, so– he didn't. He simply.. bluffed whenever you had asked him out. His excuses had grown from "I'm not feeling well." to "I'm busy."

It had gotten so bad that the two of you hadn't seen each other in two weeks. You were left alone and heartbroken, wondering if you did anything wrong or if he simply didn't want to be with you anymore.

This all led to you coming over to his apartment one night unannounced. You were just so lonely and you needed to know what was going on.

He had opened the door when you knocked, and the two of you practically instantly started to argue. Your words were filled with worry and confusion, whilst his were filled with exhaustion and frustration.

The two of you went back and forth for several more moments until Spencer had blurted out-

"Stop it! Stop talking! I just wanted to be alone, okay?? why can't I be alone?! You seriously need to learn to give me some space! Jesus.." His hands ran through his hair as he closed his eyes and sighed. He was expecting a snarky reply, but was greeted with silence.

His eyes opened and immediately softened when he saw your watery eyes and slight frown.

"Honey, I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you, but- I just need space. I.."

All of your feelings, thoughts, and emotions were right in front of him and he felt awful. He couldn't believe your first argument was about him not being able to communicate when he needed to be alone.
