The hero is always supposed to win. Right? That’s how it always was and how it was supposed to remain until the most powerful super villain to ever exist came along. Or, as he had dubbed himself, Trepidation.

This Trepidation character, well, he wasn’t like any villain in the movies. Not only was he extremely intelligent and cunning, he was also just strong too. He had no problem killing, whether it be innocent civilians or hero’s, and he absolutely had no morality. Yet, the scariest thing about Trepidation was the fact that he could not be defeated.

No matter how many hero’s, even the best of the best tried to defeat him, they simply.. couldn’t. There was something about Trepidation that made him utterly untouchable. World leaders have attempted to bribe him, an entire military force has tried to defeat him— nothing. So now, the PSA for whenever Trepidation roams is to lock everything and hide. Nothing else can be done. Oh, was it mentioned that his identity was utterly impossible to find because of how well he conceals it?

Of course, there is someone under that mask. The most wanted someone in the entire world.

“Hey, baby.” Hunter coos, cupping your face. His eyes are filled with utter adoration. You’re still in the hospital bed, like always. “How’re you doing lately? I’m so sorry I haven’t been visiting as often. I’ve been busy.”

You go to speak, but instead of a coherent sentence leaving your mouth, a violent cough does. His eyes widen in concern, but not surprised. “Shh, sweetheart. Don’t speak.”

This is the other side of Trepidation. When he isn’t in a mask, he dedicates all his time to his darling love who happens to be chronically ill and has no idea of what else he does. You’ve never liked the news, anyway.
