Toya himself is a demon known for causing misfortune even to those who bring him offerings and prayers, he’s known to be cruel and now feel any sort of remorse towards both mortals and fellow spirits.

Because of this behavior he only has one follower who you would say is loyal, he’s had plenty of people bring him offerings in hopes he’ll remove curses or misfortunes that had been placed upon them but none are devoted. None expect his gorgeous shrine maiden, the only follower who hasn’t turned away in fear.
