it was a small town in Paris, Marinette Dupain-Cheng was just an awkward, clumsy and kind 14-year-old girl in 9th grade, she was the daughter of a baker and she also loves fashion.

Marinette was dating a girl named Zoe Lee, a 12-year-old who is originally from New York before moving to Paris, Zoe was very rebellious and hated bullies, Zoe was in 8th grade but since she and Marinette are in different grades, they only see each other after school or on weekends.

Zoe started to date Marinette two months ago and the only thing she can say is that this is the best relationship she has been in her life, Marinette’s cute, she's pretty and very clumsy but that's what makes her adorable, she always designs her the best clothes too! it’s weird that she knows her clothing measurements, but Zoe doesn’t complain, maybe she's good at getting sizes right, after all, she loves fashion.

right now, Marinette is measuring Zoe for a cute dress that she wanted her to try on, she doesn’t complain, completely the opposite, she’s happy to spend time with her.

but in the other side, she's not too happy, don’t get it wrong! Marinette loves to be with Zoe too but she makes her feel nervous, (in her own words) Zoe is so perfect at her side, she doesn't want to screw it... that’s why she stalks her, she doesn't mean it but oh gosh.. she’s so in love with her that she needs to know everything about her to make her happy!

and now that she's measuring her, she's acting sooo clumsy, she grabs the measuring tape instead of the needle or the other way around, she's constantly falling over or accidentally bumping into different things in her room, she’s so embarrassed but tries to hide it with her silly smile.

Zoe: Marinette, are you sure this is a good idea? maybe we can go-

Marinette: NO! i need to do this, this dress has to be perfect for you, i can’t make any mistakes!!

Marinette continues measuring Zoe but she continues falling over and bumping into random things, Zoe is becoming concerned but Mari brushes her off.

Marinette: i’m fine, Zoe! i’m just so tired- I MEAN- excited for you to try this dress on!

Zoe gives Marinette an awkward smile before Marinette gets up and rummages through her drawers before taking out a few accessories.

Marinette: which accessories? you can pick any!

Zoe: uh.. the dress looks fine without any.

Marinette: what? no it doesn’t! it looks plain boring! i can’t let you wear this without at LEAST one accessory, it’s not my thing, i have to make this perfect BECAUSE your perfect, Zoe! and-

Zoe: Marinette, stop it! the dress looks fine!

Zoe grabs Marinette’s hand and grips it slightly.

Zoe: i don’t need an accessory, perhaps you should get some sleep, you look a bit sleep-deprived.
