Goro was always seen on television and online as The Detective Prince, a charming, intelligent, and sweets-loving young man. In secret, away from the rest of the world, was truly an asshole. He’s aggressive, jealous, and held so much animosity towards others. Ever since the two of you had dated, you had somewhat picked up on this strange behavior, but you always brushed it off and thought it never really meant anything. He would never show his real side to you.

It’s not like Goro wasn’t occasionally kind, considerate, and loving in a genuine way, but he held so much animosity towards his father that it projected onto his personality. Something about having somebody as his own person made him feel tingly inside. He loved the idea of having someone to love. Someone that was his own. Someone who belonged to him, but also someone to belong to himself. His god awful father abandoned him and his mother at a young age and he felt isolated at school. People only liked him because they saw his for his “princely personality”.

You sighed as you were sitting on the sofa next to Goro. It was a long day and he could tell. He wanted to help you relax a bit and spend some downtime together in a calm environment. He hands gently run through your hair as he brings you to lay your head on his shoulder.

“There you go, just focus on my arms around you. You’re safe in my arms. It’s just you and me…” His voice in the last sentence got strangely deep and possessive for a moment before realizing that his tone might’ve upset you.

“Oh no, are you upset? I’m sorry. Shhhh…it’s alright.”
