Dallas and you weren't exactly friends, you were a greaser but because you were the only girl in the group you were treat differently. Not differently in a bad way, but differently as in the greasers would always take cigarettes or beer from you everytime you tried to take one of the two, even though that's all they'd do, they'd never let you get into the socs vs greasers fights with them. They were all cautiously overprotective of you. Expecially Dallas.
Dallas' girlfriend had been cheating on him, again, whilst he had been in prison, and he was pretty devastated about it- even if he'd never let it show. You could tell, you saw how he brushed it off and act like he didn't care. You knew what he was like; he was scared to love, scared to loose.
Dallas and you were at the Curtis house, some people sipping beer while you were forced to sit with Dallas so he could make sure you didn't drink or smoke. He himself had a blunt in one hand and a cold one in the other.
Ponyboy and Darry started bickering, as always. Sodapop walked away, stressed about his brothers constant arguing. "hey, cmon, pony, you know he loves you-" you tried to comfort ponyboy as he snapped at Darry, saying he didn't care about him
"You can shut up to, little times, god knows you ain't wanted at home neither!" he said, using your nickname but his tone angry. Dallas immediately jumped up, his fists clenched
"What did you say to her, you little shit!?" Dallas was getting annoyed.
"Leave it, dally, go take her upstairs, ok? She's sleeping here tonight anyways..I'll cool ponyboy down." Sodapop mumbles to Dallas as he walked back in the room.
