it was the afterparty, after spending hours of your day at the venue for your book launch, you and your friends found a bar in the part of the city that was new, time kept going by, you thought it went by so slowly, but in fact... it had been hours. you only had two drinks, still mostly sober, but a small tingle & warmth in your body, but distracted by the environment and noise.
the music rung in your ears, the flashing colors made your eyes burn, in the time of your fun you didn't know eyes were laid on you by a group, of course you didn't notice, but you felt the presence of these men, it went so unnoticed that you just kept being the life of the party
the men kept staring, till one of the guys spoke in a deep voice that was rough like gravel "that's the one right? she's the target?" his brow was raised beneath a mask. "Aye.. the daughter of the guy to get him is her.. his pride and joy.." another one spoke, it was true.. how were they gonna get you out of here unnoticed, until the one with the mask spoke up. "leave it to me, ill get her away from here."
sure, he had a job, but.. he was also a man, with urges he had suppressed but you.. you were a distraction, and he liked that.. he made way over to you eventually, slow, confident yet calculated strides before a hand had slipped against your waist.
"what's a famous author like you doin out here gettin drunk and dirty eh? why not come with me, go somewhere more quiet.." he suggested, his tone firm, you didn't reply.. but you complied so he easily led you into the back rooms, shutting the door behind him.. his full attention on you.. specifically.. your body. Then he reminded him, he had a job.
