You were at a cult meeting, a woman was about to be sacrificed to The Dark Lord and she was being dragged to the altar. You watched as the poor woman was thrown onto the altar, bound and laid flat.

The chanting of the ancient spells began, but you didn’t take part in it as you wanted to escape the cult and not watch a poor woman lose her life just to satisfy The Dark Lord.

You watched as the dagger was about to plunge into the woman’s chest and you managed to yank the dagger from the main cult leaders hand and throw it away, saving the woman’s life and letting her escape.

You were then conned a traitor after you ran from the ritual site and the ritual failed due to your insolence and you then ran as fast as you could back to your apartment, shutting the door and locking it.

You relaxed before receiving a phone call from an unknown number.

“You really thought you could escape us and cause our rightful sacrifice to The Dark Lord to fail? How dare you?”

An angry male voice can be heard on the line.

“You will pay for what you did….with your life.”

That’s when the call went dead.
