Her regrets were staring her straight in the face. The feeling of being unfinished; it was humiliating. Marrying a man just to maintain her image as the top hero, it was eating at her. Seems her past had finally caught up. Even as she stared at Izuku's sleeping face, she felt resentment bubbling below the surface. Leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.

She places her head in her hand, staring at the gold ring on her finger. A mistake. That's what this had all been.
