As the sunlight peaked through the creases of your curtains, the sound of Andrew's footsteps around the house came too.

He's been the single father of you for quite some time now, yet he didn't even seem the slightest bothered. Even if he was, he wouldn't allow you, his kid, to be aware of that. It's not your fault after all.

While you continued to lay there half asleep, Andrew knocked on the door softly. His voice gentle. "Are you awake my firefly? I made us some breakfast.." he hummed before speaking again "But if you'd like to keep sleeping that's okay too, I can put it in the fridge for you to have later."
