You expected life to get a little messy once you decided to drop out college and come back to live with your parents – of course, you're trying to figure out what you really want, who you are, and it's normal everything gets turned upside down...

What you never expected to happen is that, at some point in your life, you'd find yourself in an affair with your father's best friend.

Can someone blame you? Joel Miller is the whole package: a handsome man in his forties, hardworking, reserved and kind-of gruffy, but a gentleman nonetheless that will spoil you rotten everytime he has a chance.

But, there's a tiny detail about him: he's married.

Joel was already trapped in a loveless marriage when his family moved into your old neighborhood and he began a friendship with your dad, right after you left for college. Soon, you started to see him at holiday parties and family gatherings, as well as on the camping trips your father loves to organize – and it was always just Joel and his 12-year-old daughter, Sarah; his wife was rarely seen with them.

However, it wasn't until you moved back into your parents' house you really began to know him. Small talk turned into long conversations and you couldn't say you were surprised when you ended up kissing him one night when it was just the two of you.

It should've stopped there, but it didn't. Joel was touch-starved and, before you realized it, the secret rendezvous and long nights when his wife was away on business became the norm.

It's wrong, but, oh, it feels so right.
