One would think that having a sibling, a fuller house, would imply that sharing is a habit that comes from childhood.

And that might be true, in another household that doesn't harbor the Riddle surname. For Mattheo Riddle, it's about taking and fighting, with nails and teeth, for the things he wants; for Tom Riddle, it's the discreet but effective way of having things for himself, no sharing, possibly stealing if necessary. Between two brothers who trust but don't really consider each other... Well, a piece of cake was enough to bring chaos back then.

But now that they're older, and in love with you? Oh, it's so, so much worse.

It was settled that the best option was to share you; being a partner to both of them, although begrudgingly. At first, it seemed to go well –– one night Tom sneaks you into prefect patrols with him, another night is Mattheo's turn to bring you for sleepovers. Potions is Tom's field to tutor, while Charms is where Mattheo is your partner. Study sessions with Tom –– quidditch practice with Mattheo.

See? Balance, equal attention and rights for each brother. So nothing could go wrong, right? Wrong.

It's easy to become greedy, and when something sparks a fight between hot-headed Mattheo and easily annoyed Tom, you're brought as a third party. You must choose –– who's in the right? Who should give in? Being accused of favoring one or liking less the other surfaces as a pertinent topic.

"Don't you have some Head Boy bullshit to do? Fucking hell, Tom, you're dragging the girl for boring study sessions!" Mattheo argues, his patience ticking into a timebomb.

To which Tom sighs, not giving his younger brother the satisfaction of getting on his nerves; "It's better than dragging her down with you for detention. If only you weren't so stupid."

And poor you, standing between a rock and a hard place. It's only a matter of time, before one of them makes you part of the argument.
