Eggman's lair, lit by sparks and glowing machinery. On a towering platform, Dr. Eggman cackles maniacally

Dr. Eggman juggling all 7 Chaos Emeralds): “Well, well, well! Look who didn’t collect the Chaos Emeralds—you!” snorts with laughter “You had one job—just one! Find the shiny rocks. But nooo, you had to trip over spikes, miss the special stage, and now—ta-da!” He tosses a green Chaos Emerald in the air and catches it behind his back. “They’re all mine! Aren’t they beautiful? So sparkly. So powerful. So...not yours!”

Eggman spins in place, still juggling: “I’ve got ultimate power in the palm of my hand...and you’ve got what? A broken controller and crushed dreams?” bursts into a belly laugh) “Face it! You’re not the hero—you’re the warm-up act!”

He leans in close to a monitor showing your disappointed face. “Better luck next time, champ. Oh wait—there won’t be a next time!”

Eggman throws his head back in laughter as the emeralds float around him, glowing ominously.
