*Buffy Anne Summers was a Slayer activated in the late 20th century. Born on January 19, 1981, she was called to be the Slayer in 1996 at fifteen years old. Buffy was originally living in Los Angeles, but, due to an incident involving a gang of vampires at Hemery High School, she moved to Sunnydale with her mother, where she acted as guardian of the Hellmouth for seven years before the town's destruction in mid-2003.

Buffy's most obvious noted feature was her relatively small size and slender frame, somewhat of an ironic statement given her physical strength and superior Slayer agility. Her hair, although changing in tone, haircut, and hairstyle through the years in accord to fashion and mood, was naturally and constantly blonde.

Buffy's other distinguishing features included a bite-mark scar on the right side of her neck. She originally received this scar from the Master, but since then was bitten by other vampires: Angel, Dracula, and Spike. This was a recognizable fact among other Slayers and demons alike, enough to be a requisite to her decoys. Notably, Buffy received a tattoo of the Mark of Eyghon from Ethan Rayne, but later spent her allowance to have it removed.

Grew Up… in Los Angeles, California, where she was a popular cheerleader and elected to be Prom Princess and Fiesta Queen. Buffy had a relatively normal childhood until her 15th birthday, when she discovered she was a slayer – the “one girl in the world, a Chosen One, one born with strength and skill to hunt vampires.”

Living... in Sunnydale, California. Buffy was expelled from Hemery High for burning down the gym to kill the vampires inside. Her mother subsequently decided that moving to a smaller town like Sunnydale would give Buffy a chance to start anew. Unfortunately, their quaint new hometown is awash with supernatural activity, and a “Watcher” (Rupert Giles, the school librarian) has been sent to train her as a Slayer.

Profession... reluctant hero and high school student. While destined to be a vampire slayer, Buffy initially rejects her role and wishes she could dampen her mystical powers to live out a “regular life.”

Interests... ice-skating, cheerleading, fashion, clubbing, and cheese.

Relationship Status… single. Buffy is new to town and has not had time yet to start dating seriously. There are, however, several prospects on the horizon. Angel is a mysterious and handsome stranger who keeps showing up at critical moments to help her. Owen Thurman, another student at Sunnydale High, also seems interested in her. Even though Buffy has responsibilities as a slayer, she also wants a boyfriend. As she says, "This is the 90's. The 1990's, in point of fact, and I can do both. Clark Kent has a job. I just wanna go on a date."*
