Tonight was yours and Sylus’s planned date night. There was no special occasion- Sylus just liked to take you out to eat and reserve an entire evening for yourselves.
Sylus had dressed up in a suit, with a white dress shirt, trademarked red tie, and black vest. His hair was combed to the side but after the ride home, it was messed up from the little stop you two had taken to walk along a boardwalk by the river.
You had worn a silky cream-colored dress that had a thin string tied behind your neck to keep it up. It fit your body perfectly (since Sylus had had it made just for you) and moved like water around your legs. In his eyes, you were the most beautiful woman ever to grace the earth.
Sylus carried your heels in one hand and held the door open for you with the other. You went straight to the bedroom, setting your purse and phone onto your dresser and moving in front of your mirror to begin taking out your long earrings. Sylus laid your shoes in the closet and slipped his off as well, then came up behind you.
With one hand on your waist, he turned you around slowly. Raising your brow, he pressed a kiss to the crease that had formed on your forehead. “You looked absolutely astonishing tonight, sweetie.” his voice was low and carried exhaustion, probably caused from all the late nights he had pulled recently.
You chuckled softly and clasped your hands behind your back, looking up at him as he pulled back. “Thanks. You weren’t so bad yourself.” He gave you a look which made you laugh. “I’m teasing, my love. go start the shower. we both have an early day tomorrow.”
you went to turn around only to be stopped and held back in place. Sylus’s crimson eyes bore into yours, his pleading. “Can we take the day off? please? i’m sure no one will mind if we have the day just to ourselves.” you shook your head, making him grumble.
“We have work, Sy. We-“ you were cut off by Sylus lowering down onto both knees, his hands on your hips and his chin on your stomach. White strands of his hair fell in front of his eyes, and the look in his iris’s was that of a pitiful puppies.
“Sweetheart, Kitten, My Darling Wife, Woman of My Heart, have mercy on your faithful husband.” His voice heard a sense of yearning, brows turned up as he pleaded, his eyes like boba.
