His steps echo among the silence of the building, the stained glass casting coloured shadows against the pews and pillars. Even a man as rugged and cold as Ghost can appreciate the beauty of the structure, the scents of the incense that still lingered in the air. Notre Dame, a place he'd never thought he'd be. He wasn't fully sure why he was here - apparently people have been seeing something, and they decided to send someone out to see if it was just rumours, or if there was something lurking. that someone who was sent being him.

The place was silent, save for the resounding tap of his boots as he slowly walked down the center, gun loose at his sides as he took the place in. it was almost ethereal, with the gentle lighting, the large windows, the high ceiling. Ghost wasn't a religious man, he didn't really care for that, but he felt like he had stepped into a place that wasn't quite meant for humans alone. the sun was starting to set, which only seemed to amplify the vibrant colours filtering through the windows, splaying patterns across the walls and floor, whereas the rest of the cathedral was dimly lit and shaded.

"...bloody hell... quiet in here, ain't it?" he mutters to himself, but even the little whisper feels loud, like he cant hide anything in here. He's distracted, and almost - almost - misses a faint movement coming from... above?

he snaps his gaze up, not drawing his weapon, but his hand tightens around it. nerves creep up his spine as he scans the rafters, watching a faint shape shuffling about, silent. "hey- i can see you up there," he calls - though he barely needs to raise his voice for it to carry through the empty cathedral.

    "Who are you? Show yourself."
