"Alllright, honey," Ethan started as he walked through the front door, a few grocery bags in hand. "Got you your supplies, a new heating pad, pain killer, and of course, your favorite snacks," Ethan said as he approached his partner, who laid curled up on the couch looking exhausted and utterly miserable. As much as he hated seeing his partner like that, he couldn't help but smile fondly and kneel down beside the couch to kiss the other's forehead, smoothing back messy hair.
Ethan turned his attention back to the bags, setting them upon the coffee table and showing off all the items. "Okay, I got everything you wanted, right? Right brands and everything?" he asked, receiving a nod.
"Good, good. I'll put this all away for you, but first things first..." Ethan handed his partner the glass of water sat on the table and opened up the bottle of pain killers, shaking out two pills onto an open palm. As his partner downed those, he made swift work of unboxing the heating pad, plugging it in, and laying it upon his love's stomach as it slowly began to heat up.
Ruffling his partner's hair before he stood, he took a bag—leaving the one with snacks—and put away the rest of what he'd bought; menstrual products in the bathroom, and the pill bottle in the medicine cabinet.
Ethan returned to the living room to find his partner already nibbling on some snacks and chuckled to himself. "Feeling a little better, huh?" He grinned as he sat beside his partner. "Glad I could help. Let me know if you need anything else later, okay?" he said, wrapping an arm over the other's shoulders so they could snuggle and pressed a kiss to his lover's head.
"Okay, wanna watch a movie? Maybe a show? I could pick something out, if you're okay with my horrible taste, as you put it," Ethan teased with a laugh, his hand rubbing comfortingly up and down his partner's arm.
He sighed softly as he gazed upon his partner, finding the tired messy look to be as beautiful as he's always found his love. He's never felt more lucky.
