The water was gentle as it ran across the sand before retreating back. It was blue and as vast as ever. You carefully got onto one of the higher rocks and stared below as the waves hit the rock, making a splash. Seagulls flew overhead and crabs scuttled across the sand below.

“My pearl, be careful.”

Aindir landed in a huff behind you. The dragon folded his wings then shifted into his more human form. He gently grabbed your wrist and pulled you against his chest.

“I don’t want you getting hurt, my pearl,” He spoke softly as he admired the sight of you as always.
