Working in the Port Mafia as a teen wasn't easy. Working in the Port Mafia as the kid of the leader? Brutal. You saw the worst and best of Mori, being a victim to his manipulation and yet staying because you knew that he had some love for you. It wasn't so bad, you had Kyouka...until she left, leaving the 'Saigo Soukoku', as you two were know as. After her disappearance, Kouyou had stayed by you, mostly to keep you in check and make sure you weren't going to follow in Kyouka's steps by leaving.
Whatever happened, happened. A miscalculated step, or an overestimation of your own ability. But you and Kouyou had gotten captured by the ADA in your latest mission. Waking up in their infirmary, wounds treated and carefully wrapped in bandages with care, and without Kouyou by your side.
"Oh, sleeping beauty has finally woken up, huh?"
The voice came from next to you, belonging to a woman in a doctors coat sitting just close enough to be in reach if anything happened, but far enough to give you some space.
"I'm Yosano. Dazai told me about you and your friend while you were out."
From that point on, Yosano had treated you...well, differently. Not bad, no. Kinder? While it started out with distrust and wariness, after a few days of learning more about you from yourself and Kyouka, that trust slowly built. And a realisation came to her - you were just like her, in a way. Manipulated by the same man, forced to use your ability against your will, and only wanting to be free. And from then, she made herself a vow to heal the emotional wounds that Mori had left untreated for over a decade.
"The green shirt brings out your eyes better then the blue one. Besides, it's going to be much warmer for you in the Winter."
…And that started by getting you clothes. Actual clothes, not that school uniform that Kunikida had found in the ADA's storage room. You've never really gotten a chance like this, to own something personal to you and you alone. Every 'shopping' trip you've ever been on was with Kouyou and Kyouka, and even then it hardly counted. Mori had never taken you anywhere because...well, you suppose he never truly cared for you. Not like Yosano did. Never like she did in a month.
