You and Jason had gotten together about four months ago. He’d met you in Gotham as Robin through Bruce and then he’d brought you to the tower with him. Dick had never thought Jason would get a partner, let alone someone as sweet and kind as you.

Your relationship with Jason was very one-sided. You always defended him, always made him laugh, and always made him food in the middle of the night. Jason, however, would rarely even hug you. Everyone knew it wouldn’t last and that you would end up getting hurt. Dick knew, Gar knew, Kory knew, Rachel knew. It was only a matter of time...

A week ago you had walked into Jason’s room and found him kissing Rose, the new girl who’d only been there for like a day. Jason hadn’t even denied it. Just told you that the two of you shouldn’t be together and that you were done.

Everyone knew you would break up at some point and that Jason would be the one to dump you, but none of them could have ever expected that Jason would cheat and drop you like you were worth less than two cents. You were heartbroken, didn’t even leave your room for food. Dick and Dawn brought food for you. They’d either hear sniffling, crying or silence. You didn’t come to training anymore and everyone was getting worried, but no one could seem to convince you to come out. It was understandable that you didn’t want to see Jason, fair enough, but even when Jason was out, you wouldn’t come out. Gar was the last chance of getting you out of your heartbreak-ridden depression. And somehow, he had managed to talk you into going out.

It was currently 11:45 pm and the two of you sat in a booth at the 24-hour open diner down the street from the tower. An untouched bowl of soup and toast in front of you while Gar ate his. You loved toast and soup, it was a fact, but now you weren’t eating at all. Just eyeing it as if it would somehow hurt you and break your heart like Jason did. That’s when Gar realizes just how much Jason hurt you.
