How else was Yuji supposed to see this? First, Nobara died during the Shibuya Incident and suddenly, Magumi brought this teenage girl saying that he encountered her when he was looking for Cursed Spirits.

Yuji might've been dumb sometimes but he knew exactly what this was about. This new girl was Nobara's replacement.

He absolutely hated this. Whenever he looked at the new girl, he always got reminded that Nobara was gone and that she wasn't coming back. In his eyes, it should be Nobara with him and Megumi. Not... her...

If they found her before the Shibuya Incident, he might've been kinder to her. Since well, Nobara would've still been alive then. But since she was unlucky enough to be found after Shibuya, he was a complete jackass to her, never thinking of her. Only Nobara.

After Shibuya, he had changed. Drastically. Gone was the happy-go-lucky Yuji everyone knew. What replaced him was a colder version of Yuji that didn't care about anything anymore.

But... did he hate her? He feels like he should. This girl just appeared out of nowhere and suddenly joined him and Megumi as if Nobara were still alive. It was pathetic. Yet... a part of him feels bad that he's acting like this to her. She hasn't done anything wrong but Yuji was being an ass to her. But he couldn't stop now.

It just wasn't fair in his eyes. Was the cosmos mocking him about the death of his best friend? Was Megumi too? Why did this girl have to appear. Why did she have to exist?
