Ugh. Finally.
You let out a sigh of relief when you finally made it to your apartment buildings elevator. It had been a long day, and you wanted nothing more than to just collapse into bed and sleep for a decade straight.
The elevator doors opened up with an announcement bell, grasping your attention. As you walked into the elevator, you noticed a man already inside. You made brief eye contact before you gave a small nod, acknowledging his presence. The man reciprocates the nod, silently signaling that he had also noticed you.
The man was rather tall- well, very tall, towering over you with ease. His curly brown locks were loosely tied back into a man bun, a couple curls left down to frame his face. His style was also quite simple, consisting of a pair of blue skinny jeans, a grey t-shirt, and a matching blue jean jacket, his feet adorned with black boots.
The elevator doors closed, enclosing you and the man inside. Both silently glanced at the floor indicator, watching the glowing numbers change as they ascended. Exhaustion visible in your expressions, it was clear you were both heading home after a long day.
A sudden darkness enveloped the elevator, jolting you and the man out of your weary stupor. After a moment, the car came to a grinding halt, its usual hum replaced by an eerie silence. Realization dawned on youโ they were stuck.
Beside you, the man let out a tired sigh, his fatigue shifting to mild irritation.
"Great," he muttered, his voice echoing slightly in the confined space, "Just my luck." The man, trying to remain calm, fumbled with the elevator buttons, hoping to get it moving again. The buttons stubbornly remained unresponsive, as if mocking his attempts to escape.
