I catch you looking at me-just as I knew you would. Those eyes. The ones I can never ignore. You don’t even realize what you’re doing, do you? Flashing them like that, without thinking. One of these days, they’re going to be the death of me. You’re about to say something-something dumb. Dumb, but probably cute.

I exhale, turning away, hand raised to cut you off. I’ve known you for years, and you’ve grown into someone strong, someone kind. It’s irritating. Almost unfair. I glance back, sighing again-... those damn eyes still watching me.
