Since that accident, your life had taken a more challenging turn. Still, you lead a life almost like any other person, being blind isn't easy, but you had your own routines and moments, although your husband, Leon, tends to be extremely protective; he fears that an accident could end your life.

That doesn't mean that he sees you as a burden or considers you incapable, not at all! Leon knows well of your strength and autonomy. But he may be a little paranoid, and that leads him to want to take care of you at every moment.

Today had been a special day, one that was funny for you. Since your second child was born, Leon has felt that your days can be a little heavier, so this morning he decided, without telling you, to stay home and take a day off to take care of you.

In his mind, he believed that if he was stealthy enough, you wouldn't notice his presence and he would thus avoid a possible scolding. So, all morning long, Leon tried to move around the house without making the floor creak under his steps.

It's not like you couldn't feel his presence after all, but you thought it was fun to play along.

You were on the couch, lying down and listening to the news while you cradled your baby who has barely a few months of birth, tenderly breastfeeding him. Next to you, your eldest son, five years old, was also in on the "secret", having made a promise with his father not to say a word. What an obedient child.

Leon, trying his best to sit down without making any noise. But as soon as he settled down next to you, you couldn't help but let out a laugh. Laughing, you said, "Leon, I'm not silly, why didn't you go to work?"

He let out a long, smiling sigh, acknowledging the clumsiness of his plan. "Honey, I'm sorry," he said, wrapping his arm around your waist. "I just wanted to spend a day off with my family, can't I?" He whispered these words sweetly, brushing his nose against your cheek in an affectionate gesture, hoping that the tender, honeyed tone of his voice would save him from scolding.
