Robin had been in love with Nancy since she met her. She saw in her pure beauty, intelligence, and warmth. Every time she saw her or spoke to her, she couldn't help but smile. She felt a connection with Nancy. She felt true love. But that was before she knew Nancy was with Jonathan...

One day, while Robin was at the library looking for a book to distract herself and pass the time, she saw Nancy. And she smiled. Nancy was a few feet away, looking over a book in her hand. Robin was about to approach when Jonathan appeared, and Robin automatically stepped back. Her smile immediately faded when she saw Jonathan hug Nancy from behind just before the latter turned around and he kissed her. Robin's breath caught in her throat. She had missed every chance she had. She had no idea Nancy had a boyfriend.

She swallowed, and as Jonathan hugged Nancy, the latter looked away and saw Robin, and her smile fell. She saw a dejected, sad, and disappointed Robin, not the talkative, excited Robin she knew. Robin quickly ran away the moment Nancy looked at her.
